Dear Resident Business Owner and Community Member,
Aiken Promotions will hold a total of three concerts in the Phoenix Park on June 20th, 21st, and 22nd 2025. The following will outline important information for you.
Consultation has taken place with An Garda Síochána, Office of Public Works and Dublin City Council.
Key Dates and Times:
The following variations to the above may apply:
- 19th June 22:00 – 03:00 light testing will occur; no disturbing noise associated with this testing.
- 20th, 21st, 22nd 07:00 – 08:00 Toilet cleaning, no loud works.
Waste Management:
- We are committed to returning Phoenix Park to its “as found” condition following the concerts.
- Facilities will be in place to ensure that there is no build-up of refuse in the event site, Phoenix Park or surrounding area.
- Litterbins will be placed around the audience circulation areas of the event site.
- A licensed cleaning contractor has been engaged to undertake a clean-up inside the venue and the Phoenix Park after the concerts.
- Areas outside the venue, where affected will be cleaned in accordance with Dublin City Council and Fingal County Council requirements.
- There will be litter pick teams in operation during the event in the Phoenix Park and immediately surrounding areas.
- Temporary sanitary facilities will be provided in the Phoenix Park on routes leading to and from the concert site to prevent public urination.
Cyclists:
Cycle lanes within and around Phoenix Park are expected to remain open to the public up until 21:00, at which point they will be subject to the road closures detailed overleaf. However, cyclists should be aware that Khyber Road will be an exception, as it is scheduled to close earlier in the day, from 15:00 onward, due to event-related access restrictions and safety considerations. Users are advised to plan alternative routes accordingly.
Pedestrians:
The Phoenix Park will remain open to pedestrians throughout the event period; however, a limited area surrounding the concert site will have restricted access during key phases, including site build, event days, and the post-event restoration period. This closure is confined to a specific section of the park and is necessary to ensure public safety and to facilitate the safe operation of the event. The majority of the park, including its many walking routes, will remain accessible to the public. On concert days, Ashtown Gate will be closed from 14:00 to all access to support crowd management and safety procedures. Visitors are advised to follow temporary signage and guidance from event staff when navigating through the park during this time.
An Garda Síochána Patrols:
Residential areas surrounding the event shall be patrolled by Garda pedal cyclists, beats and mobile patrols. Parking laws will be enforced, and illegal parking will not be tolerated. An Garda Síochána will liaise closely with local authorities in relation to parking enforcement.
Road Restrictions:
As part of the planning for the upcoming concerts in Phoenix Park, a number of temporary road restrictions will be put in place to support the safe and efficient delivery of the events. These measures are necessary to manage traffic flow and ensure public safety. While we understand that road closures may cause some inconvenience, we want to reassure residents that every effort is being made to reduce the impact on local access. We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation. Full details of the road restrictions, including timings and affected areas, are provided below.
Please note: Times of all road and gate closures are approximate and subject to change. Rolling road closures shall be implemented as deemed necessary.
