Having recently won the Music Moves Europe Award, Kingfishr have also been nominated for Irish Breakthrough Artist at the RTÉ Choice Music Prize Awards, while on the live front they have also completed a European tour with James Bay and are building upon a career total of 70 million streams to date.

Despite already achieving so much, Kingfishr are yet to release their debut album – their biggest body of work so far being the Irish Independent Chart #1 ‘Live From Dublin’ album. And it’s in the live arena that they’ve built much of their word-of-mouth following. Whether they’re playing house parties, impromptu pub jams or ever bigger live shows (they sold 20,000 tickets during their sold-out UK and Ireland tour late last year), they bring the same power, passion and natural charm that’s constantly winning them new admirers.

At the end of last year Kingfishr released two new songs ‘Bet On Beauty’ and ‘Killeagh’ which celebrates Killeagh GAA, the hurling club which Eoin ‘Fitz’ Fitzgibbon (bass) played for.

Having also supported Bruce Springsteen, George Ezra, Tom Walker and Snow Patrol as well as festival performances including Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, Electric Picnic, Isle of Wight and Rock Werchter festivals, Kingfishr reunite with James Bay as special guests at his OVO Wembley Arena show next week. The Neighbourhood Weekender follows in May as well as Mad Cool (Madrid) and a return to Latitude in July, in addition to sold out headline shows at Fairview Park (Dublin) and Live At The Docklands (Limerick) in June and August.
