By Kind permission of the Commissioners of the Office of Public Works Aiken Promotions are excited to hold 2 festivals in the beautiful surroundings of the Iveagh Gardens this July.
Aiken Promotions have been delighted to hold the Iveagh Gardens Music Festival and Comedy Festival in the grounds of the Iveagh Gardens for over a decade, following the footsteps of those who hosted events in the gardens as early as the 1860s.
Whilst Aiken Promotions are hosting 2 separate festivals there will be some overlap of timings.
For ease of understanding we have combined the dates and timings for the festivals to outline the public access to spaces below:
Festival Dates:
Music Festival: Live @ the Iveagh Gardens 04th July – 23rd July 2024

Public Access Areas Between July 2nd – July 15th
The below map displays the areas within the Iveagh Gardens that will be available to the general public between Saturday 29th June – Wednesday 31st July.
Aiken Promotions has been given access to the Iveagh Gardens to commence work on to commence work on Saturday 29th June with drop-off of equipment on the evening of Friday 28th June.

Gates Opening Timings:
Clonmel St Gate:
From the Saturday the 29th June to Wednesday the July 31st the Clonmel Street will operate as follows:
Open:
- Monday 8th July until Wednesday 10th July
- Friday 12th July
- Monday 15th July until Tuesday 16th July
Closed:
- Saturday 29th June until Sunday 7th July
- Thursday 11th July
- Saturday 13th July until Sunday 14th July
- Thursday 18th July until Wednesday 31st July
National Concert Hall Gate:
This gate will only close on show dates of the music festival as listed below:
Hatch Street Gates:
These gates will operate as normal.
Sound Checks
Audible sound checks will only be performed during the Live @ The Iveagh Garden Music Festival. These are essential to ensure that the equipment is working at its most optimum level and to allow artists and sound engineers have an opportunity to “get a feel” for the spaces acoustics.
Aiken Promotions have contracted a reputable sound engineer who will monitor the sound levels during each concert to ensure the sound will never exceed or reach dangerous levels. This is done for the safety of ticketholders and residents.
The sound check dates and timings are as follows:
Build Dates
Aiken Promotions will commence works on the Saturday June 29th however deliveries of equipment will be made on the evening of Friday June 28th.
From Sunday the 29th of June Aiken Promotions will start to build all the elements required to stage the Live @ The Iveagh Gardens Music Festival which will commence on the 4th of July.
When the Paddy Power comedy festival has finished on Sunday the 28th of July Aiken Promotions will start to take down all of the equipment and remove it from site. This will be finished by the end of day on the 31st of July. On the morning of the 1st of August some equipment will be picked up however normal access to the gardens will have resumed.
Other Information:
- A security presence will remain on-site throughout the build and dismantle
- Entry to all events is by ticket only. All patrons will enter the venue via the Clonmel Street gate.
- Cleaning contractors will provide an extensive clean-up of the event area and of the immediate vicinity outside the park during and after the event has
